Across her twenty-year career, Miriam Whitford has honed her strategic marketing skills in industries as diverse as food and wine, luxury goods, consumer products, regional marketing, hospitality, entertainment and major events.
In that time, she has managed all aspects of leadership, strategy development and communication – developing a unique understanding and appreciation for brand management, human relations, customer development, and overarching category planning.
Born in Adelaide, Miriam graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology, and followed this with a Bachelor of Management & Marketing from the
University of South Australia.
Her portfolio of employers includes BP Amoco, Nestle, and Constellation Wines as its Global Marketing Manager. She developed the five-year strategic plan for the South Australian Thoroughbred Racing Industry, and has most recently led the marketing team for the multi-award-winning Clipsal 500.
On the back of this successful career, she established Whitford Thinking, and now specialises in fine-tuning business management and communication, improving profitability, enhancing brand and company performance; and guiding organisations in refreshing or transforming their brand profiles, communication strategies and management styles.
